Why this wall exists

Synthetic opioids like fentanyl contribute to a large share of overdose deaths. Even in small doses, fentanyl can be deadly. Drugs may contain lethal amounts you cannot see, taste, or smell.

Xylazine and other adulterants are increasingly found in the illicit supply and raise the risk further when combined with opioids.

Every day, families lose brothers, sisters, parents, children, and grandchildren. This wall holds some of their names, faces, and stories.
