My Beautiful Victoria was our youngest daughter, born on December 30th, 2005, along with her Twin brother. Victoria never let her twin, Noah, forget that he was the baby in the family because she was one minute older! Victoria was just starting her Junior year of High School when her life was Taken from her, and from us. Victoria was in School, worked a 30+ hour a week job, hustled side jobs mowing grass, played softball for school for a while, joined the National Honor Society, sang in the school choir and had purchased a 1986 Ford Bronco 2 as her first car/project. Victoria attended a Teen Church Group on Wednesday afternoons a couple times and that is where she met the Person, who took her life, at Church.
Victoria thought she was getting a Percocet from this person, she didn't have a clue about drugs, it was just a Percocet. This person dropped it off to Victoria at our house, told her how to chop it up into quarter size pieces, crush it and snort it. Victoria not having a clue as to what was happening to her called him and texted him to say that she was Feeling it and that something was wrong. He Did Nothing! He let my daughter Die! He didn't call 911, didn't come back, He did Nothing. I found her the next morning and that is when our lives just fell apart. This Person was 17 and Certified to stand trial as an Adult. He was sworn in multiple times under Oath and Admitted multiple times that he knew it was Fentanyl that he gave Victoria, multiple times!! He was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder and Endangering the Life of a Child Resulting in Death. He faced 20 years in Jail for Both Charges and we were going to Trial. We were waiting for the Trial Date, around 18 months had already passed by this time....and this Person asked for a Plea Deal. We still wanted the 20+ Years, and his Lawyer asked for Probation. Now it was up to the Judge to Sentence him. This Person, POS, received 120 Days in Jail, 2 Years Drug Court, and 5 Years Probation for Taking the Life of my daughter...120 Days. The Judge said that he was Salvageable. My Victoria had her entire life ahead of her, but she was just 16 Years, 9 Months, and 4 Days old when her life was taken from her.
To say that I was Beyond Angry and that I am still is an understatement! My Daughter was Murdered and this Person; walked away unscathed.....Sadly, until he does it again.
To My Victoria Frances Jones, We Love you and Miss you every single day sweet girl. 12/30/2005 - 9/4/2022
